If you don’t know what an HVF is and you think the Head Shed is something you wear…you need to be on this page.

  • Clean Eating: The practice of avoiding processed and refined foods and basing your diet on whole foods.
  • Feed the Machine: Saying used to describe the intake of food to provide fuel for your body.
  • Friendly Fire:  You work out hard and then feed your body the wrong foods. Example: After a strenuous workout you grab a bagel with cream cheese.
  • FNG: F*cking New Guy
  • Functional Fitness: A fitness perspective focusing specifically on everyday movements as exercise.
  • Head Shed: These are the people in charge of all the shenanigans.
  • HVF: High Value Food, the foods considered to be nutrient dense super foods.
  • IED’s (Immediate Expansion Device): Foods that make you feel bloated and will expand your waistline. Example: Donuts, Pizza, Fried Foods, Pasta, and Breads.
  • KP: This is Kitchen Patrol, anyone who has been in the Military knows this is a hard job.
  • Landmines: Social Events, Parties, Holiday’s, Etc. The Special Occasions that can cause a Misstep!
  • Licky-Chewies: These are the snack items you make to supplement your meals. Trail mix is a good example but just about anything you can carry around and eat.
  • MRE: Meal Ready to Eat, your standard over processed government chow in a bag.
  • Operator: An Operator is a member of an elite Special Operations unit skilled in many facets of War.
  • Paleo: Term used to describe eating like a caveman.
  • PT: This is short for Physical Training. You should be doing a lot of this!
  • Private Snuffy: Brand new recruit who needs a lot of supervision and still seems to screw it up.
  • Securing the Perimeter: Shopping the perimeter of the grocery store where you find the most High Value Foods
  • Tactics: An action or strategy carefully planned to achieve a specific end.
